Description:
Kontakt allows you to play and process previously recorded audio data - samples of musical instruments, sound effects, vocal tracks, etc. - but this is only a small part of its full range of capabilities. In Contact, you can use ready-made tools from a huge number of libraries from third-party developers or create your own virtual tools, apply powerful built-in processing modules to their audio signals, and build complex execution schemes with a variety of modulation connections. Anything is possible - from ultra-precise recreation of real instruments to the creation of original, unlike anything else.What's new in Kontakt 8:
The eighth version introduced new features, as well as tools and samples. New to version 8 are the Chords and Phrases features, which allow users to generate melodies and sequences using both MIDI content and randomization tools. Both features are compatible with both Kontakt itself and any tool built on the Kontakt engine.
Another significant addition is — Leap, which allows you to quickly work with loops and samples and is familiar to everyone who has used Arcade from Output. Leap comes with 12 genre-specific expansions, including Afrobeats, Latin Trap and Soul Gold. Conflux — a new tool that combines a sampler engine, wave and FM synthesis, allowing for real-time manipulation and modulation.
In terms of aesthetics, a completely new browser has appeared that allows you to view all the tools installed on your computer that are compatible with Kontakt. Can be searched by sound type and nature or by instrument brand.

- Create an empty folder. The name of the folder itself and the path to it MUST NOT CONTAIN CYRILLIC. The folder MUST BE WRITEABLE. Do not place the folder on the system drive.
- Run installer (KontaktPortable_v8**.exe) > "Browse...", select the created folder > "Extract"
- When you first launch the Library Manager, you will automatically scan factory content, as well as already installed libraries (scan in the registry).
At the end of the scan, you must save the changes and (restart) Contact.
If the changes were not saved when you first started, you can start the automatic scan at any time using the Alt + Insert keyboard shortcut or from the Manager context menu:
ADD > quick search for installed libraries
By default, libraries are only added to the classic browser (except for factory content). This behavior can be changed in the Library Manager settings:
Libraries > Manage libraries in NKS browser
How to add Kontakt 8 PORTABLE VST3 to DAW.
Method 1 (not suitable for all DAWs):
Add the Kontakt8Portable\Kontakt 8\x64\VST3\ folder as an additional folder for scanning plugins. For details, please refer to the manual (manual) of your DAW.
Method 2.
Run Kontakt8Portable**Install.exe**
On the component selection page, check the box "Add VST3 plugin to DAW".
1. Run the installer KontaktPortable_v8**.exe
2. Press "Browse..." and select the folder in which the Kontakt 8.xx PORTABLE files are located > "Extract"
3. When a window appears "Confirm file replace" confirm file replacement (Click "Yes to All")
