Mark Daniel Nelson and Pulsar Modular team up again for a stunning new plugin. In search of unique studio equipment with a rich history, Mark purchased this extremely rare 2252 from a former technician at the famous Wessex studio in London. An incredibly famous studio that released most of the punk albums of the 1970s and 1980s by artists such as The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Pretenders, Queen and many others. This 2252nd witnessed all this. This is a 1968 Neve model that was produced for a short period until germanium gave way to silicon, and stood for decades in the studio where music history was made. After nearly two years of development, Pulsar Modular and Mark Daniel Nelson created one of the most unique compressors on the market. That,what was initially considered unusable became an integral part of the Attitude, Aggression and Power sound.

As a follow-up to my previous releases of the P455 MDN Sidecar and P821 MDN Tape plugins, I'd like to take a journey through the back streets of memory again to talk about my history and passion for sounds in music.
It all started more than 26 years ago, when I became interested in the magic and personality of sound, the question of why some albums sound powerful and unique, while others — sound more intimate and organic.
In my search for unique studio equipment with a rich history, I discovered that many things remain the same. Sometimes it is part of the story, such as the studio equipment used in the recording of the historic album. Sometimes it's something very familiar and easily accessible. My passion has always been associated with unique equipment. Things that are incredibly rare both in design and number of copies. Secret weapon.
