Processor (CPU): Multi-core 64-bit Intel Core i7 / i9 or Xeon, or AMD Ryzen 7 / 9 / Threadripper (High core count and AVX2 instruction support recommended for dense point-cloud processing)
RAM: Greater than 8 GB RAM minimum (32 GB to 64 GB+ RAM strongly recommended for high-density 3D laser scans and CT voxel datasets)
Graphics Card (GPU): Dedicated NVIDIA Quadro / RTX Workstation or GeForce GPU with full OpenGL 4.0+ support
Video Memory (vRAM): Greater than 2 GB dedicated vRAM minimum (8 GB+ GDDR6 vRAM recommended for real-time 3D deviation color mapping and multi-million polygon rendering)
Hard Drive Space: ~10 GB free disk space for installation (NVMe SSD with 50 GB+ free temp space recommended for large project caching)
An industry-standard 3D inspection and metrology automation suite that bridges non-contact 3D scanning and traditional contact probing into a single unified environment. By combining synchronous inspection workflows with CAD-aware Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) import, Geomagic Control X transforms raw point clouds and polygon meshes into actionable Pass/Fail quality assurance reports.
CAD-Native Parametric Inspection Tree: Features a CAD-like history tree teamed with an ad-hoc synchronous inspection engine, allowing users to modify alignments, tolerances, or reference geometries at any stage and automatically recalculate all downstream dimensions.
Universal 3D Scanner & Portable CMM Integration: Direct hardware plug-ins for Leica, Hexagon Absolute Arm, Faro, Creaform, GOM/Zeiss, Artec, Shining 3D, Nikon, and Keyence optical scanners and probing arms, plus universal import for .STL, .OBJ, .PLY, .ASC, .PTS, and .E57 point clouds.
Native CAD & PMI Import: Directly reads native CAD formats including SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, Siemens NX, Creo (Pro/E), Inventor, AutoCAD, STEP, IGES, and Parasolid—complete with embedded 3D GD&T / PMI annotations.
ASME Y14.5 & ISO GPS Compliant GD&T: Full geometric dimensioning and tolerancing engine covering flatness, cylindricity, true position, concentricity, runout, datum reference frames (DRF), and surface/line profile callouts.
3D & 2D Deviation Color Maps: Instant visual heatmaps comparing scanned meshes against reference CAD models, complete with interactive whisker plots, 2D cross-sectional slice comparisons, wall-thickness analysis, and dynamic callout tags.
Automated Batch Processing & Visual Scripting: Built-in Automation Server and Visual Scripting environment to watch network folders and process incoming batch scans automatically without operator intervention.
Alignment & Registration Engine:
Initial & Best-Fit Alignment: Rapid point-cloud-to-CAD registration using global fine registration algorithms.
RPS (Reference Point System) & Datum Alignment: Constrain parts along exact 3-2-1 planes/cylinders/points or complex iterative RPS targets for automotive sheet-metal and casting inspection.
Local Best-Fit & Deviation Location: Isolate critical functional mating surfaces for localized alignment.
Simulated Contact Probing & Virtual Calipers:
Simulated CMM Points: Accurately emulate physical ruby-stylus touch probe behavior over dense optical scan meshes to correlate non-contact scan data with legacy CMM inspection programs.
Smart Dimensioning: Single-tool interactive caliper for linear, radial, angular, and clearance measurements directly in the 3D viewport.
Customizable Reporting & SPC Export:
Drag-and-drop report designer generating interactive 3D PDFs, Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Word, HTML, and CSV outputs.
Direct trend analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data export (Q-DAS and CSV) for tracking tool wear and manufacturing drift across production runs.
Temporarily pause Windows Defender or third-party antivirus real-time protection, or add the target installation folder to your exclusion list so the proxy loader (version.dll) is not flagged as a false positive.
Run ControlX_2026.1.0.05202.exe (3.75 GB) as Administrator (Right-click -> Run as administrator).
Follow the setup wizard prompts to install Geomagic Control X 2026.1 and any required hardware scanner interfaces.
When the installation completes, do not launch the application yet; uncheck the launch box and close the installer.
Apply Medicine (3DScriptingCore.dll & version.dll):
Open the Crack folder inside the downloaded distribution (235.01 KB).
Copy both 3DScriptingCore.dll (162 KB) and version.dll (73.01 KB).
Paste both files directly into the main application binary folder where GeomagicControlX.exe is located (by default: C:\Program Files\Oqton\Geomagic Control X 2026.1\Bin\ or C:\Program Files\3D Systems\Geomagic Control X 2026.1\Bin\, depending on your selected install path) and confirm file replacement when prompted.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Never copy version.dll into C:\Windows\System32—it must reside strictly inside the Geomagic Control X application directory alongside the main executable.
First Launch & GPU Configuration:
Launch Geomagic Control X 2026.1 from the desktop shortcut; the version.dll proxy and patched 3DScriptingCore.dll will automatically bypass the license check and unlock the full commercial suite.
If running on a workstation or laptop with hybrid graphics, open the NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings and assign GeomagicControlX.exe to the High-performance NVIDIA processor to ensure full OpenGL 4.0 hardware acceleration.
