Lemur Audio - SIMON v1.6.4 VST3 for Windows

• Dual-Channel Symmetrical Mastering EQ: Symmetrical stereo layout with 3 fully parametric bands, musical high/low shelves, and independent channel output trims.
• 3 L/R Harmonic Matrix Modes: Select between EQUAL (identical harmonic structure across channels), MODERN (subtle stereo harmonic variation), and VINTAGE (distinct harmonic variations per channel).
• OP-AMP & Tube Circuit Modeling: Mathematically advanced non-linear modeling captures dynamic analog saturation and tube warmth.
• Auto Gain Compensation (AGC): Automatically balances output levels as you drive the central Input Trim, allowing you to focus purely on tonal color rather than loudness changes.
• Mid/Side (M/S) & Stereo Link: Seamlessly switch between standard Left/Right and Mid/Side processing modes for independent center-channel and stereo-width EQ sculpting.

Surgical Precision Meets Organic Analog Coloration
Lemur Audio SIMON is engineered specifically for demanding mastering and mix-bus equalization tasks. Combining the ultra-clean, surgical precision of legendary mastering hardware with the non-linear saturation characteristics of tube and OP-AMP topologies, SIMON provides smooth tonal shaping without degrading transient clarity.

At the heart of the unit sits the central INPUT TRIM control, driving the internal analog saturation engine. A real-time SAT meter provides clear visual feedback on harmonic density, while the integrated AGC circuit maintains perceived loudness to prevent mixing bias.

Flexible Stereo Architecture & Harmonic Matrixing
SIMON offers extensive control over the stereo field with its three L/R matrix modes. Whether you require perfectly matched phase response across both channels in EQUAL mode or organic, unlinked analog drift in VINTAGE mode, the equalizer adapts to the natural dimensionality of your mix.

Parametric Bands & Shelving Modules:

• 3 Stepped Parametric Bands (Low, Mid, High): Mastering-grade frequency grids with stepped Q factors and smooth gain adjustment for surgical problem-solving or broad musical shaping.
• High Shelf: Broad, open top-end shelf designed to introduce smooth air, sheen, and upper-frequency weight without harshness.
• Low Shelf: Switchable between 50 Hz and 100 Hz for low-end warmth, sub-bass tightening, and foundational control.

Saturation, Dynamics & Processing Modes:

• Input Trim & Analog Saturation: Dedicated drive stage that adds musical second and third-order harmonics as signal input increases.
• Real-Time SAT Indicator: Visual meter monitoring active saturation and harmonic saturation depth.
• Processing Matrix: Full Stereo, Dual Mono, and Mid/Side (M/S) modes with individual L/R and Mid/Side link toggles.
• Independent Output Trims: Dedicated output attenuators per channel for level balancing.

Installation Steps:

1. Run lemur-audio-SIMON-v1.6.4-bubbix.exe as Administrator (Right-click -> Run as administrator).
2. Follow the setup wizard to install the VST3 plugin into your system's standard VST3 directory (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3).
3. Launch your DAW, run a plugin rescan, and load SIMON on your mix bus or mastering chain.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

• Q: What does the AGC toggle do?
A: Automatic Gain Compensation keeps the perceived volume steady when adjusting the Input Trim so that increased harmonic saturation does not falsely inflate output volume.
• Q: How does Mid/Side mode help in mastering?
A: M/S mode separates the center mono content (kick, bass, lead vocals) from the side stereo elements (pads, cymbals, reverbs), letting you sculpt them independently.
