The Yamaha PSR-S900 represents one of the most iconic arranger workstations produced by Yamaha. Released as a flagship mid-tier arranger keyboard, it inherited sound engines, MegaVoice technology, and Super Articulation algorithms directly from Yamaha’s legendary Tyros 2 series.
KievSamples captured the essence, tonal nuance, and distinctive PCM waveforms of this legendary hardware synthesizer and packaged it into a versatile, high-resolution sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt. This virtual instrument allows modern producers, arrangers, composers, and live keyboardists to access the lush, polished, and mix-ready acoustic and electronic tones of the PSR-S900 directly inside their Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
- Authentic Hardware Multi-Sampling: Every patch is multi-sampled across the dynamic velocity spectrum using pristine analog-to-digital converters to preserve the warmth, stereo depth, and frequency response of the original hardware.
- Super Articulation & MegaVoice Emulation: Replicates realistic acoustic instruments by scripting legato transitions, fret noises, breath sounds, string slides, and hammer-ons directly into Kontakt’s engine.
- Streamlined GUI Interface: Custom Kontakt interface with dedicated quick-access knobs for filter cutoff, resonance, ADSR envelope shaping, chorus, delay, and reverb.
- Low CPU & RAM Overhead: Optimized sample compression (using Native Instruments
.ncwlossless format) ensures smooth multitrack layering without choking system performance. - MIDI Compatibility & Dynamic Control: Fully mapped velocity curves, mod wheel assignments, pitch bend parameters, and expression pedal routing.
