1.Clean Up Registry Entries: Delete the previous activation and the Branch registry value (if any). Navigate to the following registry path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Sonar

Delete the following values:

• BLUserId
• BLUserName
• LogonData

2.Delete Activation Files: Optional cleanup.Navigate to your ProgramData folder and delete the following activation files:

• %PROGRAMDATA%\Cakewalk\Sonar\Command Center\Abbadon.cxa
• %PROGRAMDATA%\Cakewalk\Sonar\Command Center\Zappa.cxa

3.Install Sonar: Proceed with the standard installation of the Sonar application.

4.Block Internet Access: Prevents the app from calling home.Block the program from accessing the internet using your firewall, OR append the following addresses to your system's hosts file:

5.Place DLL File: Copy the vcruntime140_1.dll_ file and place it directly into the installation folder where the program was installed.

6.Export Activation Request:

1. Launch Sonar.
2. Navigate to Menu > Help > Offline Activation > Export Activation Request.
3. Save the .crq file. Name the file with your registered site name or any custom name, ensuring you use only Latin characters.

7.Generate Activation Response:

1. Launch WM_BandLab.r2rwm.
2. Click Generate.
3. Point the tool to the previously saved .crq file.
4. Save the newly generated .dat file to your computer.

8.Import Activation Response:

1. Return to the Sonar application.
2. Navigate to Menu > Help > Offline Activation > Import Activation Response.
3. Point the application to the newly saved .dat file.

9.Reboot Sonar: Restart the Sonar application to finalize the activation and apply all changes.
