Installation

1. Uninstall the previous version.

2. Install the software.

   • For the Chinese (Traditional) version, copy the included kal file to:
     %APPDATA%\Kong Audio

3. Run the software once, then close it.

   • This creates the required configuration file on your computer.

4. Run the provided registration tool and complete the registration.

5. Done!

Note

The developer uses JUCE's getUniqueMachineID() to generate the Machine ID. This method is known to have compatibility issues on some computers.

If you experience an issue such as "Plugin is deactivated after restarting the computer," the problem may be related to the Machine ID generation rather than the registration tool.

Troubleshooting

Q: Qin Engine does not appear in my DAW?
A: Verify that the correct plugin format was installed and rescan the appropriate plugin directory.

Q: The instrument library is not detected?
A: Check that the library is installed in the location expected by the corresponding Kong Audio product and that the required files are intact.

Q: AAX does not appear in Pro Tools?
A: Confirm that the AAX component was installed correctly and restart/rescan Pro Tools.
