An uncompromising acoustic mandolin library that captures the bright, punchy, and expressive character of the instrument. By pairing detailed multi-directional round-robins with intelligent strumming and picking engines, Evolution Mandolin bridges the gap between static samples and realistic live mandolin performance.
- Meticulous Multi-Sampling: Deeply sampled with multiple dynamic velocity layers (3 velocity levels) to ensure a wide, expressive dynamic range from gentle plucks to aggressive flatpicking.
- Bi-Directional Round-Robins: Features alternating up-picking and down-picking round-robin transitions to eliminate mechanical repetition and "machine-gun" artifacts.
- Comprehensive Articulation Suite: Includes sustain notes, palm mutes, natural harmonics, hammer-ons/pull-offs (legato), slides, and intentionally scraped/misfretted notes designed to inject organic human imperfection into your tracks.
- The Evolution Engine: Powered by OTS's proprietary script engine featuring a built-in pattern editor, strumming/picking algorithms, and automatic chord recognition.
- Integrated FX Rack: Built-in virtual guitar/mandolin amplifiers, cabinet convolution, EQ, compressor, chorus, delay, and algorithmic/convolution space reverbs.
- Factory Preset Library: A curated collection of ready-to-use factory snapshots that fit instantly into acoustic arrangements and commercial mixes.
-
Picking & Round-Robin Physics:
- Captures the precise attack transient of a pick striking double-course steel mandolin strings.
- Alternate picking behavior automatically mirrors real mandolin technique across fast melodic passages.
-
Expressive Nuances & Humanization:
- Muted & Harmonic Layers: Add rhythmic percussive chop chords using palm mutes or glassy chime textures via natural harmonics.
- Fret Noise & Imperfections: Includes intentionally mis-fretted and string-scrape samples that trigger subtly during complex position shifts, lending an undeniable sense of physical realism to solo performances.
