Fast-Paced Sound Design for Modern Producers
While traditional multi-gigabyte workstation samplers are often bloated with intricate menus and academic routing matrices, Sauceware Audio Scorch 2 focuses strictly on speed, vibe, and modern musical context. Created with the needs of contemporary beatmakers in mind, Scorch 2 pairs a curated sound bank with immediate performance controls.

Rather than spending hours setting up modulators or stacking third-party effect chains, producers can load a sound, turn the central Chaos control to morph the timbre, and instantly audition new melodic ideas using the onboard MIDI generative tools.

Granular Control Meets Creative Randomization
Beneath its streamlined primary interface, Scorch 2 houses a comprehensive sound design engine. The Sampler page provides deep manual sculpting over audio sources, while the Effects section adds grit, space, and analog texture. Whether layering sub-heavy 808s, airy flute hooks, warped electric keys, or cinematic vocal pads, Scorch 2 acts as a self-contained production suite inside your DAW.

The Four Core Navigation Pages:

• 1. The Main Page (Instant Control):

  • The "Chaos" Dial: The centerpiece of the instrument. Intelligently modulates pitch warble, filter envelopes, saturation drive, and spatial depth simultaneously.
  • Quick Tweak Macros: Essential volume, pan, glide/portamento, and master filter controls for rapid leveling in a mix.
  • Preset Browser: Categorized library of basses, leads, keys, plucks, pads, guitars, and ethnic instruments.

• 2. The Sampler Page (Deep Sound Sculpting):

  • Source Playback Engine: Fine-tune sample start points, root key mapping, polyphony voice count, and pitch tuning.
  • Dynamic Envelopes: Dedicated Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release (ADSR) stages for both amplitude and filter cutoff.
  • Assignable LFOs: Tempo-synced Low-Frequency Oscillators routable across multiple target destinations for rhythmic pulsing or analog drift.

• 3. The Effects Page (Character & Warmth):

  • Echo / Delay: Tempo-synced stereo delay with feedback filtering and ping-pong modes.
  • Distortion & Saturation: Custom drive circuits ranging from subtle tube warmth to aggressive clipping.
  • Chorus & Spatial Modulation: Multi-voice dimensional widener to add acoustic width to mono leads and pads.
  • Reverb: Algorithmic ambient processor for lush decay tails and spatial room simulation.

• 4. The MIDI Playground (Melodic & Chord Sequencer):

  • Chord Grid & Scale Lock: Select your song's root key and scale (Major, Natural Minor, Dorian, Phrygian, etc.) to keep every generated pattern musically aligned.
  • Generative Sequence Modes: Generate moving melodic top-lines, rhythmic chord chops, or synchronized bass patterns at the press of a single MIDI key.
  • Drag-and-Drop MIDI: Export generated MIDI sequences directly onto your DAW's arrangement timeline for further manual editing.

1. Install Core Plugin:

   • Run the installer setup file (Setup Scorch 2 v1.0.4.exe or equivalent).
   • Verify the destination folder for the 64-bit VST3 plugin (default path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Sauceware Audio\).

   • Ensure the keygen displays a confirmation indicating successful license registration.

3. DAW Verification:

   • Open your DAW.
   • Perform a full plugin rescan for newly installed VST3 instruments.
   • Insert Scorch 2 onto an instrument track.
   • The plugin will load fully registered without demo timeouts, noise bursts, or online login requests.

Production Workflow Tips:

• Locking Your Key: Always set the root musical scale inside the MIDI Playground before auditioning sequencer presets. This guarantees that any generated melody or counter-melody immediately harmonizes with your existing 808s and chord progressions.
• Exporting MIDI: If you like a generated groove but want to change individual notes, click and drag the MIDI Out icon from the MIDI Playground directly into your DAW's piano roll to edit the notes manually.
• Taming Chaos: The Chaos knob can be automated in your DAW's arrangement track to introduce sudden textural changes or lo-fi tape stops during song transitions and beat drops.
